CSIR – National Institute of Oceanography, a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Institute (CSIR), invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of the following project staff, purely on a temporary contractual basis to carry out research work on the R&D project and to be engaged in our Regional Centre Visakhapatnam. 1. Post Name: Project Associate I 2. Project Title: Marine Environmental monitoring study for seawater quality and ecosystem in the coastal waters off Kesenapalli, East Godavari District, AP 3. Vacancy Code: SSP3408/2203-22 4. Tenure: 4 Months 5. Essential Qualification: M.Sc Marine Biology / Oceanography with Biological Oceanography Specialisation / Marine Science / Aquatic Sciences 6. Desirable Qualification & Job Requirement: Hands on experience in the collection and identification of phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthos. Participation in field trips on boats and research vessels. Collection of samples. Laboratory analysis of samples. Assistance in report preparation and any other project-related work 7. No. of. Posts: 01 8. Monthly Emoluments (Rs.): Rs.25000 /- Plus HRA Advertisment No : NIO/HRM/21-22/65

Selection Procedure
1. If a number of applications are more, then selection committee will fix a criteria to shortlist the applicants. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. Selection will be done on the basis of an online interview through either Skype/Google Meet/Zoom or any other suitable software, as decided by the competent authority.
2. Applications received after the due date (13th February 2022) will be rejected. The short-listed candidates will be informed through e-mail/website.
3. Proposed Date of Interview for shortlisted candidates: SSP3408/2203-22: 18th February 2022, 10.00 AM Onwards . The above date for interview proposed may be subjected to change and will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates (if any).
