NIBMG Invites Application for Project Associate-I Recruitment 2022

National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) Kalyani is an Institute of Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology. The Institute has created necessary physical infrastructure and critical platform technologies to support research, translation, and training in biomedical genomics.

1. Post Name: Project Associate - I

2. No of Post: 01

3. Essential Educational Qualifications : M.Sc.in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ M.V.Sc. OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent

4. Desirable Qualifications : 

a) M.Sc. in Life Sciences with Prior Research experience in the form of master’s thesis/Summer training etc. involving PCR and DNA sequencing

b) At least 60% marks in master’s and Graduation levels

c) Experience in biological sample handling,

d) Microbiological Culture, Host and Microbial DNA

e) Isolation, Primer Designing, PCR and DNA

f) Sequencing, prior experience to maternal and child related research

5. Monthly Emoluments : 25,000+24% HRA

6. Nature of work & Responsibilities : 

a) Processing of Biospecimens, placental tissue biopsy collected from Hospitals for Microbial DNA, RNA isolation

b) Performing basic molecular biology laboratory works like PCR and DNA sequencing for both the host and microbial samples

c) Performing basic microbiological lab work

d) Formulation of SOPs and maintaining GLP with proper documentation of day-to-day lab activities

e) Maintenance of Stock and Purchase Indenting

Selection Procedure

1. Only the shortlisted candidates will be called for Online Interview/Test.

2. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the Interview/Test.

3. The decision of NIBMG in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection, and conduct of interviews will be final and binding on the candidates.

4. In exceptionally meritorious cases, the eligibility requirements may be relaxed by the competent authority.
