Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.Sc
Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project to carry out research work, experiments and analysis in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering.
1. Name of the Temporary Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) -01 (Project Code: SR/21/BM/084)
2. Name of the Research Project : Innovating paper microfluidic device to achieve rapid and uniform spreading of whole blood and demonstrate its applicability as a point-of-care diagnostic device
3. Name of the Sponsoring Agency : Science and Enginering Research Board, Dept. of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India
4. Tenure of the Project : 02 Years
5. Tenure of the Assignment : Initial for a period of one year (Extendable to two years upon satisfactory performance)
6. Job Description : Research and Development work (design, fabrication, modeling, simulation and data analysis in the field of microfluidic devices used in biomedical engineering) Scope to enroll as a Ph. D. Scholar in the Department of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering (must satisfy Institute/Department Eligibility Criteria)
7. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- P.M.
8. Essential Qualifications and experience : B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical/ Chemical/ Biomedical/ Materials/ Biotechnology) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent with a valid GATE score. (or) M.Sc. in (Applied Physics/ /Material Science/ Chemistry Biotechnology) with minimum 60 % marks with NET/GATE/DBT score.
9. Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences : M.E/M.Tech/MPharm with minimum 60% marks or equivalent Previous research experience is design and manufacturing, FEM Modeling and simulation (computational Fluid/solid mechanics), additive manufacturing is desireable .
10. Accommodation : Bachelor accommodation in the Institute may be provided subject to availability

Selection Procedure
1. The candidates are also required to produce relevant documents mentioned in the application form [such as original of all mark sheets and certificates, research papers (if any), experience certificate (if any) etc.] at the time of interview / joining. Selection / Joining will be canceled in case of any suppression of information / document provided earlier.
2. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee invitation to the interview. Candidates will be short listed based on merit and need of the project.
