Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the SERB-POWER, GOI project titled “Design and development of low cost multifunctional lower limb exoskeleton system for motion assistance to paraplegics” in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. NITT/ICE/SERB-POWER/2021 1. Position & Number: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Research Assistant– one 2. Essential qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical / production/ Mechatronics/ Instrumentation /Electrical /Electronics with M.E/M.Tech in Control /Instrumentation /Mechatronics /Mechanical /Engineering Design. Minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA in UG and PG from a recognized University/ Institute. Candidates with qualified GATE score will be considered for JRF post and candidate without GATE Score will be considered for Project Assistant post 3. Job Description: a. Robotic modelling and control, simulation and experimentation. b. Purchase of Equipment and inventories for the project. c. Dynamic modeling and design of exoskeletons (CAD), Co-simulation using MATLAB/ADAMS/SOLIDWORKS d. The candidate selected as Junior Research Fellow/Project Assistant, will be permitted to register for PhD programme as per NITT rules and regulations. 4. Salary: Rs. 31000 +16% HRA for JRF Rs. 25000 + 16% HRA for Project Assistant

Selection Procedure
1. Preference will be given to the candidate who is having good academic record, research potential, relevant experience. However, the selection of the candidate would be based on their performance in the Interview.
2. The date of interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates by E-mail. No T.A/D.A will be paid for attending the written test and the interview.
3. The selection committee decision is final. If any applicant is found to canvass in any manner, the candidate selection shall be summarily rejected.
