Applications are invited for one position of Senior Research Fellow under a project entitled “Structural and biochemical characterization of Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) from Acinetobacter baumannii and design of inhibitors” sponsored by Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi [GP-443] under the supervision of Dr. Chaaya Iyengar, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology, NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar

2. Minimum Educational Qualification: Essential qualifications: M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Biotechnology OR M.S. (Pharm)/ M.Pharm/ M.Tech in Biotechnology. GATE/GPAT/NET qualification is essential. The candidate must have minimum of 2 years of research experience in addition to a basic qualification. Minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General category, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination
3. Desirable: Hands-on experience in recombinant DNA techniques e.g. PCR, cloning, transformation, protein expression, purification, and protein chemistry. Experience in Microbiology, handling, and maintenance of E.coli. Publications, if any
4. Fellowship: Rs.35,000/-p.m. + HRA as per rules
5. Tenure of the Post: The above position is for a period of one year or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier

1. The process of selection may include presentation/seminar / written test/interview or any other process as decided by the competent authority
