Eligibility Criteria for Director (Finance)

Essential Qualification

Candidates must belong to one of the following categories:

• Category (a): Officers from organized finance services of Govt. of India (IA&AS, ICAS, IDAS, IRAS, Indian Postal & Telegraph Accounts Service, etc.) holding an analogous post OR with 5 years of service in Pay Level-12 (Grade Pay Rs.7,600/-).
• Category (b): Officers from State Finance & Accounts/Audit service holding analogous post OR with 7 years of service in Pay Level-12.
• Category (c): Officers from Central PSUs, Statutory, or Autonomous organizations holding an analogous post in the finance wing OR with 5 years of service in Pay Level-12. Must possess:
  • B.Com
  • MBA (Finance) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or ICWA
  • 5 years experience in plan/budget preparation, Govt. funds management, internal/external audit, C&AG audit.
• Category (d): Officers from State Autonomous Bodies/Corporations/Statutory bodies holding analogous post (Grade Pay Rs.8,700/-) OR with 7 years of regular service in Pay Level-12. Must possess:
  • B.Com
  • MBA (Finance) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or ICWA
  • 5 years experience in plan/budget preparation, Govt. funds management, internal/external audit, C&AG audit.

Experience

• Relevant experience as specified in the educational qualifications (minimum 5 years) is required.
• Experience will be reckoned as on the last date of submission of the application.

Age Limit

• Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of application (07/02/2026).

Other Conditions

• Period of deputation: 3 years, extendable as per DoPT instructions.
• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
