Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): M.Sc in Microbiology/Biotechnology with experience in Molecular biology techniques. Relevant experience in Microbiology and Molecular biology; Experience in Endophytes-related research; CSIR-NET, SLET and GATE qualified candidates preferred; Experience in research projects by Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, DST or equivalent organization in Microbiology and Molecular biology.
  • Hindi Assistant (Retired): Retired translators/officers of CSOL cadre or eligible employees of Central Government. Must have retired as Hindi translator (Level-7) or above and well acquainted with functioning of Government Ministries/Departments. Master's degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a subject at a degree level; or Master's degree in English with Hindi; or Master's degree in any subject with Hindi and English; or Master's degree in any subject with Hindi Medium and English as a subject; or Master's degree in any subject with English Medium and Hindi as a subject. 8 years' experience of translation from English to Hindi or vice versa.

Age Limit

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Maximum age is 28 years. Age relaxation as per GOI rules.
  • Hindi Assistant (Retired): Maximum age is 62 years (should not have attained 62 years as on closing date).

Cut-off Date: Age is calculated as of the closing date, 20 March 2026.

Mandatory Requirements

  • For JRF: Experience in molecular biology techniques is mandatory.
  • For Hindi Assistant: Must be a retired translator with specific qualification and experience.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be applicable as per Government of India rules. Refer to the official notification for details.
