About National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology
The National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology (NISST) was established on 18th August 1987 to meet the need for Human Resource Development and Technology up-gradation in the secondary steel sector comprising mainly the steel melting units with EAF or IF,and the re-rolling units.
The Institute is managed by a Board of Governors consisting of member from industry, Education Institutions, Industrial Associations & Ministry of Steel.
NISST has aims to be source for all the requirements of the secondary steel sector by providing training to manpower by way of both long term and short term courses. Extend consultancy service to the industry , provide research & development services.
