Good news for candidates with ITI qualifications! NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) has announced a recruitment drive for Trade Apprentices for the year 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh tradesmen to gain industrial experience at a prestigious Government company under the Ministry of Steel.

Interested and eligible candidates can attend the Walk-in-Drive scheduled from 12-01-2026 to 15-01-2026 at Nagarnar, Chhattisgarh. The total number of apprenticeship vacancies is 100 across four different trade categories.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for COPA

• Essential Qualification: (COPA) Trade Certificate, 1 year regular course.

Eligibility for Welder

• Essential Qualification: Welder – Trade Certificate, 1 year regular course.

Eligibility for Mechanical (Fitter)

• Essential Qualification: Fitter - Trade Certificate, 2 year regular course.

Eligibility for Electrical (Electrician)

• Essential Qualification: Electrician Trade Certificate, 2 year regular course.

General Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates who have already completed Apprenticeship Training under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 are not eligible.
• Candidates must register themselves at the apprenticeship portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before attending the drive.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on a Screen Test / Trade Test.
• Selection is subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
• The selection of SC/ST/OBC will be as per Apprenticeship Rules 1992 and government quota.
