Applications are invited for walk-in interview for hiring the services of Specialists in following streams on contractual basis, under National Health Mission, J&K for health facilities of Jammu Division. Paediatricians. Gynaecologists. 1. Name of the Post: Specialists 2. Qualification: PG Degree/ Diploma in relevant stream recognized by Medical Council of India and registered with the Medical Council of India/ J&K State Medical Council. 3. Eligibility: a) Domicile Certificate/Address Proof. b) Stay at the place of posting is mandatory. c) During the contract period Consultant/ Specialist cannot do Private Practice. 4. Remuneration: Rs. 85000/- per month + Incentives (if applicable ) as per the Criteria laid down for the difficult areas.

The date and mode of walk-in interview for the posts of specialists for Jammu Division shall be notified separately on the official website of the National Health Mission, J&K (www.jknhm.com)
1. The desiring eligible candidates shall submit the duly filled application forms in the office of State Health Society, NHM, J&K at Regional Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Nagrota Jammu (Pincode: 181221) by or before 27th of January 2022 between 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM.
2. Applications not falling in the prescribed criteria or without aforesaid documents shall be rejected out rightly.
3. Candidates are advised to keep themselves updated through the website. No individual communication to the candidates shall be made in this regard.

National Health Mission (NHM) is now called as NRHM (National Rural Health Mission) & NUHM (National Urban Health Mission).National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) has an aim of bringing a drastic change in the health system and the health status of the people specially those living in rural areas of the country. It also provides affordable and quality health care, population stabilization which would help to achieve goals that are set under the National Health Policy and the Millennium Development Goals.
The National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) was founded in April 2005 by Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) started at the National Level in April 2005. But in Jammu and Kashmir State it was started in December, 2005, Jammu and Kashmir State is one of the focused States in context to National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). The First phase of NRHM from the year 2005 - 2012 has focus on building infrastructure gaps and provide manpower to improve the delivery of health care services. Second phase of NRHM from 2012 - 2017, has focus that their should be more on health system for suitable conditions of health system in the State.
