- Director: Master's Degree in Chemistry (Pure/Applied) or Physics (Pure/Applied) from a recognised University or Institute; OR Degree in Engineering or Metallurgy or Textile or Rubber Technology.
- Experience: Twelve years' experience in managerial capacity in the field of testing and evaluation of materials and knowledge of their behaviour in a laboratory or institution of standing specialising in Material Science.
