This Institute invites applications from eligible candidates for online interview for filling up the following purely temporary positions: Advt. No.: PA/01/2022 1. Name of the post: Project Associate-II 2. No. of posts: 01 3. Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Polymer Science/ Biopolymer Science with 2 years of research experience. 4. Monthly Stipend: 35,000/-+HRA for who possess valid CSIR-UGC NET Score (including lectureship) or valid GATE score. 28,000/-+ HRA for who do not fulfill the above.

Selection Procedure
The shortlisted candidates will be called for Online Interview. The date and time of online interview will be notified in our website www.niist.res.in in due course. Interim enquiries will not be attended to.

1. Eligible candidates are required to apply on-line through CSIR-NIIST website https://www.niist.res.in/english/category/careers/temporary-positions only. No other mode of application will be accepted.
2. On-line application link will be available from 17-01-2022, 05.30 PM to 24-01-2022, 5.30 PM.
3. In case of Universities/Institute awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their university/institute.
4. Candidates have to upload scanned copies of all certificates including educational qualification, experience, age and community. Incomplete applications will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected. Persons with disabilities (PwD) fulfilling the eligibility conditions prescribed under GOI instructions are encouraged to apply.

About National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology
The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, is a constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR). Initially, it was established in 1975 as a CSIR Complex ,it was named as the Regional Research Laboratory in 1978 and later renamed as NIIST in 2007. It conducts research and development activities of the highest quality in areas related to effective utilisation of resources of the region and of fundamental importance to the country. Currently, NIIST is engaged in R & D programmes in areas related to Agro Processing, Chemical Sciences ,Materials Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Process Engineering and Environmental Technology. The institute has established state-of-the- art facilities for conducting advanced research in the areas of interest .Pilot plant facilities for research training and process/product development in the areas of spices and oilseeds have been established. The institute has also been playing a significant role in Human Resource Development by training post-graduate/graduate students.
