Educational Qualification: M.Phil/Ph.D
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates in the prescribed format as enclosed herewith for the temporary posts mentioned below in "Medical Genetics Lab"
1. Post Name: Scientist C (Medical Genetics)

3. Tenure of the post One year
4. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Human Genetics with 2 years post Ph.D. work/research experience Desirable to have post Ph.D. work experience in a diagnostic genetic laboratory and/ or in medical genetics-related research. Relaxation upto max. 5 years in case of merit and experience.
5. Consolidated Salary per month Rs.75,000/ per month
6. Job Description: To establish protocols and SOPs for diagnostic molecular genetic and cytogenetic tests. To do first level of validation of all the genetic diagnostic reports. To take care of lab- related logistics. To analyse and interpret advanced genetic tests such as microarray and next generation DNA sequencing. To train and teach students the techniques, principles, analysis and interpretation of genetic laboratory techniques. To develop SOPs for quality control and quality assessment procedures required for a genetic diagnostic laboratory To write projects for funding agencies and conduct research in the area of medical genetics.

Selection Will be Based either Written Exam/Interview
How to Apply:
1. Applicants should note that the appointment to be made purely on temporary and there is no right for claiming for any regular appointment in NIMS.
2. In case, the services of a particular post are required only for part of a day, the salary payable will also be proportionately adjusted and will be explained at the time of the interview
3. No TADA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining the post.
4. The application should be submitted in the enclosed prescribed format and must be accompanied by attested copies of certificates in support of all information furnished in the application.
