Educational Qualification: MCA
Recruitment to the post of Programmer in Group - B in the Office of Odisha Public Service Commission, Cuttack.
1. Post Name: Programmer in Group - B
2. No of Post: 01
3. During the period of Initial Appointee, he/she shall draw consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 25,300/- (falling under the scale of pay of Rs. 35,400/- in Level — 9, Cell 1 as per the Pay Matrix provided under Rule — 3 of ORSP, 2017.
4., The post shall continue as Initial Appointee for a period of 06 (Six) years. On the date of satisfactory completion of six years as Initial Appointee, he/she shall be deemed to be considered for regular appointment.
5. Qualification: A candidate should possess Master's Degree in Computer Application from a recognized University with at least 60% marks.

Selection Procedure
(1) For selection of candidate for recruitment to the post the following principle to be adopted. Practical Test Viva Voce Test 100 25
(2) The Commission may short list the candidates to a reasonable number basing on the marks obtained in practical test and the final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in Practical Test and Viva Voce Test.
(3) The Practical Test consists of 05 questions having 20 marks each and duration of Practical Test will be 2 hours 30 minutes. The types of question are as follows:
(a) Database: Knowledge on Normalisation, different types of Joining, Stored procedure, Function, Trigger (20 Marks)
(b) IITML and Javascript: Knowledge on HTML in context of liquid layout, bootstrap, jQuery, CSS. Asynchronous communication with server (Ajax) using JSON and XML. (20 Marks)
(c) Rest Service and Web Service: Knowledge on creating Rest/Web Service, securing REST Service by HTTP Basic Authentication/JSON Web Tokens (JWT) OAuth 2.0. (20 Marks)
(d) Miscellaneous Topics: (a) Knowledge on encrypt secure data and store to database and decrypt data for user's view.
(b) Encrypt URL data and decrypt using base64.
(c) Execution of long run process and schedulers. (d) SSL and HTTPS (20 Marks)
(e) Logic building ability: (4/5 Questions to be answered using pseudo code) to test (a) IF - ELSE (both Simple and Nesting ),
(b) SWITCH CASES. (c) LOOP (FOR, WHILE),
(d) Exception Handling (20 Marks)
How to Apply:
1. Online applications are invited from the prospective candidates through the Proforma application to be made available on the Website (http://opsconline.gov.in) from 08.02.2022 to 28.02.2022
2. Candidates must go through the details of this Advertisement available in the Website of OPSC before filling up online application form
3. Candidates must apply online through the concerned Website of the OPSC http://opsconline.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
4. Before filling up the online application form, the candidates must go through the following documents available at OPSC portal.
5. Instruction to fill up online application. (iv) Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading of Photograph, Full Signature & Left Iland Thumb Impression.
6. Candidates should keep at least two copies of latest passport size photograph which is to be uploaded along with the online application form for future use.
7. On successful submission of the online application form, a Unique Registration ID will be displayed on the screen as well as on the top of the application form.
8. Candidates are requested to note down the unique Registration ID and use it in future correspondence.
9. The applicants are advised to submit only single application; however, if due to any unavoidable situation, if he/she submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects like applicants' details, photograph, signature etc.
10. The applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note that only the applications with higher RID (Registration ID) shall be entertained by the Commission.
