Educational Qualification:
Certification:- NCVT (ie, candidates having National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCTVT now NCVT or NCVET).
Trade: - AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant).
Feeder Trades:- IMCP, MMCP, LACP, PPO, Fitter General, Machinist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic.
Pay Scale:
INR
19900/- Per Month
Age Limit: Maximum 40 Years.

After reviewing requirements of Propellant for high caliber ammunition via a visa and then capacities available in 1969-70 in Chemical Ordnance Factories, a new propellant factory was considered necessary and O.F.Itarsi was set up. O.F.Itarsi manufacture Double, Triple, and Ball Powder Propellant Under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (UIGMDP) of DRDO.
The IS/ISO-9001:2015, 14001:2015 certified Factory's production activities range from making propellants for Gun Ammunition, Ball Powder for small arms ammunitions, and Picrite, intermediaries, like nitric acid, sulphuric acid, Nitrocellulose, and Nitroglycerine to propellants for integrated guided missiles viz. pinata, Trihul, Pechora, Milan, RZ-61, Akash and Nag. O.F. Itarsi has a full-fledged chemicals and explosives and other stores required for production purposes. Safety & Human Resource Development are the basic & vital concerns of the factory. Research & Development are the areas of its endeavor.
