The Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), a premier unit of Indian Railways located in Yelahanka, Bangalore, has released an official notification for the recruitment of 01 Sports Person for Cricket (Men). Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Essential: 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent (from a recognized board/institution).
• Important: Candidates must possess the minimum educational qualification as of the date of notification. Candidates appearing for final exams or awaiting results are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years
• Age Cut-off Date: Calculated as of 01-01-2026.
• Age Relaxation: No age relaxation (upper or lower) is permissible for any category (SC/ST/OBC, etc.) for sports quota recruitment as per RWF norms.

Sports Eligibility

Candidates must possess recognized sports achievements as per the prescribed norms. Only those achievements supported by self-attested certificates enclosed with the application will be considered.

Selection Process

Since this is a Sports Quota recruitment, there is no written examination. The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Document Verification: Scrutiny of educational, sports, and identity proofs.
2. Practical Demonstration / Field Trials: Assessment of sports skills and achievements.

Note: Candidates will be called for trials based on their application and sports credentials.

Payment Mode: Fee must be paid via crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) only. Drawn in favour of: "Principal Financial Adviser (PFA), Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore-560 064", payable at Bangalore. Cash/Online payments are not accepted.

How to Apply (Offline)

1. Download Form: Visit the official RWF website (www.rwf.indianrailways.gov.in) and download the official notification and Annexure-I (Application Form).
2. Fill Details: Fill all columns in the application form carefully without any gaps.
3. Attach Documents: Prepare self-attested copies of the following:
   • Proof of Age (10th Standard Certificate).
   • Educational Qualification Certificates.
   • Sports Achievement Certificates.
   • Identity Proof (PAN, Aadhaar, Driving License, etc.).
   • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
   • Minority/Income Certificate (if applicable).
4. Attach Fee: Paste the IPO/DD for the requisite amount (Rs. 500/- or Rs. 250/-).

General Instructions

• Original Documents: Candidates must produce original certificates (educational, sports, ID) on the day of trials. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.
• Rail Travel Concession: SC/ST candidates are eligible for free rail travel on production of a self-attested photocopy of their caste certificate.
• Multiple Games: Candidates applying for more than one game/event must submit separate applications with separate fees.
• Disqualification: Canvassing in any form or submission of fake documents will result in immediate disqualification and legal action.
