Applications are invited for filling up the vacancies of Assistant Professor of Horticulture College, Mandsaur under Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior.

4. Qualification:

i. Bachelor in Agriculture / Science with Chemistry as core subject, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA. M.Sc. (Ag.) in Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA.

ii. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

iii Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree in concerned subject done with course work as prescribed by the UGC regulation 2009 subject to the condition of producing a NET exemption certificate as mentioned in Annexure-I and having two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4.

iv. The candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work registered for/completed Ph.D. will not get exemption from NET.

v. However, for those who registered for Ph.D. before 2009 but completed their degrees after 2009 and those who completed their Ph.D. before 2009 without course work must have two full length research papers in Journals having NAAS rating of 4 or above, the NET shall not be essential.

vi. For NAAS rating the rating for the year of publication in question shall be considered.

vii. Bachelor's in Agriculture / Science, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA . M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy, having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

viii. Bachelor's in Agriculture/ Horticulture, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA . M.Sc. Ag. (Horticulture) with specialization in Vegetable Science / M.Sc. Horticulture (Vegetable Science), having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

ix. Bachelor in Agriculture / Science with Botany as core subject, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA. M.Sc. (Ag.) in Botany & Crop Physiology / Crop Physiology / Herbal Physiology / Plant Physiology, having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAWUGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

x. Bachelor's in Agriculture / Horticulture, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA . M.Sc. Ag. (Horticulture) with specialization in Plantation and Spices / M.Sc. Horticulture (Plantation and Spices), having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

xi. Bachelor's in Agriculture / Horticulture, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA . M.Sc. Ag. (Horticulture) with specialization in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants / M.Sc. Horticulture (Medicinal and Aromatic Plants), having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

xii. Bachelor's in Agriculture / Science, having minimum 50% Marks or equivalent OGPA . M.Sc. (Ag.) in Entomology, having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICARJUGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

xiii. Bachelor's in Agriculture/ Horticulture, having minimum 50%Marks or equivalent OGPA . M.Sc. Ag. (Horticulture) with specialization in Floriculture & Landscape Architecture / M.Sc. Horticulture (Floriculture & Landscape Architecture), having minimum 55% Marks or equivalent OGPA. Passed National Eligibility Test conducted by the ICAR/UGC/CSIR or some other agency approved by UGC, along with one publication in NAAS rated refereed journal for all the disciplines in which NET is conducted.

The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh as second Agricultural University by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. As per RVSKVV act the horticulture and veterinary science & animal husbandry. The research activities are operated through five Zonal Agricultural Research Stations (Morena, Khargone, Jhabua, Indore, and Sehore); four Regional Agricultural Research Stations (Gwalior, Mandsaur, Ujjain and Khandwa) and 4 special research stations (Entkhedi, Bagwai, Jaora and Badwah) having 22 All India Coordinated Research Projects and several ad-hoc projects to enhance the productivity and profitability of agriculture system. Transfer of technology is the part of extension activities carried out by 19 Krishi Vigyan Kendras.

The overall climate varies from semi-arid to subhumid with hot summer, cool and dry winter and 600-1000 mm mean rainfall. The geographical area of the state under the jurisdiction of university contains three types of soils varying from alluvial to medium and heavy black soils spread over six agro-climatic zones i.e. Gird Zone, Malwa Plateau, Nimar Valley, Vindhya Plateau, Jhabua Hills and Bundelkhand Zone.
