The training offers a monthly stipend of ₹9,000 for GAT and ₹8,000 for TAT. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• For GAT (Engineering): Full-time Degree in Engineering/Technology in relevant branches (Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CS/IT, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, Civil, Chemical, Mining) approved by a statutory university.
• For GAT (Non-Engineering): Full-time Degree in BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, or BL from a recognized university.
• For TAT (Diploma): Full-time Diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant disciplines from a State Council/Board of Technical Education or recognized university.
• Year of Passing: Candidates must have passed their Degree/Diploma in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 only.
• Ineligible: Part-time, distance mode, or online mode degrees/diplomas are NOT accepted.

Age Limit

The official notification does not specify an explicit upper age limit. Candidates must meet the minimum age and conditions as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD will be applicable as per Govt. norms.

Mandatory Requirements

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates will be followed as per the Apprentices Act guidelines and Government of India norms. OBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer certificate.

Selection Process

There is no written examination. Selection is purely based on merit in the qualifying examination and a personal interview.

Selection Stages

1. Stage 1: Online Application via Google Form (26.02.2026 to 10.03.2026).
2. Stage 2: NATS 2.0 Portal Registration (Mandatory).
3. Stage 3: Shortlisting based on percentage of marks in qualifying examination.
4. Stage 4: Personal Interview + Document Verification (14.03.2026).
5. Stage 5: Final Selection and Engagement as Apprentice.

Shortlisting Criteria

• Based on the percentage of marks obtained in the relevant degree/diploma.
• Merit lists prepared category-wise and discipline-wise.
• In case of a tie, the older candidate is given preference.

Interview Pattern

• Date: 14th March 2026 (Saturday).
• Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Venue: Room No. 304, Learning & Development Centre (L&DC), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant – RINL, Visakhapatnam-530031.
