Educational Qualification: . Project Field Operating Officer: Ph.D. degree in Natural Sciences or Biotechnology, minimum 60% marks in M.Sc. or equivalent degree. Practical knowledge of Macromolecular crystallography as well as protein biochemistry are required. The candidate should have extensive experience in protein structure determination and crystallographic refinement. The candidate should have experience of collecting X-ray diffraction data at synchrotron sources. The candidate should have publications in International peer-reviewed journals. Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting viva voce examination are also eligible to apply.
Project Assistant: Graduate in Biology or Biotechnology, minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. or equivalent degree. Research experience in a Structural Biology laboratory and
knowledge of project documentation is essential.

Candidates will be selected based on written test/personal interview/medical test/walkin interview. Once a candidate is selected they will be placed as Officer, Project Assistant in Regional Centre for Biotechnology.

The programmes of the Centre are designed to create opportunities for students to engage in multi-disciplinary research where they learn biotech science while integrating engineering, medicine and science, to provide solutions for human and animal health, agriculture and environmental technologies.
The mission of the Centre is to create opportunities for multi-disciplinary education, training and research in biotechnology. The vision is to produce human resource tailored to drive innovation in biotechnology, particularly in areas of new opportunities and also to fill talent gap in deficient areas.
The Centre has been recognized as an 'Institution of National Importance' through an act of Indian Parliament, for biotechnology education, training and research. The Centre is also regarded as a "Category II Centre" in terms of "the principles and guidelines for the establishment and functioning of UNESCO Institutes and Centres".
