Recruitment Type: This is Direct Recruitment based on an Interview. There is no competitive written examination. Selection is based on 100% weightage of the Interview assessing Technical & Professional proficiency.

Eligibility Criteria

All eligibility criteria (Age, Experience) shall be reckoned as on the last date of submission, i.e., 08/03/2026.

1. Educational Qualification

• Required Degree: Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR Bachelor’s Degree in Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing / Mechatronics & Automobile / Railways, etc.
• Recognition: Degree must be recognized by AICTE and obtained from a University established by Act of Central/State Legislature or declared Deemed University under UGC Act, 1956.
• IEI Equivalent: Sections A & B of the Institution of Engineers (India) are accepted as equivalent to Degree.
• Minimum Marks:
  • UR/EWS/OBC (Unreserved post): First Class or minimum 60% marks.
  • SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD (Reserved posts): Minimum 50% marks.

2. Post-Qualification Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 09 years of experience (after acquiring the qualifying degree) in:

• Designing and optimizing Bulk Material Handling Systems.
• Developing process flow diagrams, capacity calculations, and optimization studies.
• Specific systems: Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers, Ship Loaders/Unloaders, Silos, Wagon Tipplers.
• Project lifecycle management (Feasibility to Commissioning) and Cost Estimation (CAPEX/OPEX).

Exclusions: Training (except on-the-job), Internship, Teaching, Academic, Fellowship, and PhD research experience will not be counted.

Selection Process

This is a Direct Recruitment without a written exam. Selection is based on the following stages:

1. Document Scrutiny: Verification of eligibility and uploaded documents.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for an interview.
3. Interview Weightage: 100% weightage.
   • Technical & Professional Proficiency: 65%
   • Personality, Communication & Competency: 35%
4. Qualifying Marks:
   • UR/EWS: Minimum 60% marks in Interview.
   • SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD: Minimum 50% marks in Interview.
5. Medical Examination: Final appointment is subject to passing medical fitness as per RITES standards.
