Educational Qualification

• Joint General Manager (Civil- Tunnel Construction Expert) (RG/02/26): Full time bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• DGM (Transport Economist) (RG/03/26): Full time bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (4 Years) / B. Arch (5 Years) / B. Planning (4 Years) AND Master’s degree in economics / Statistics / Management (Finance) / Transport Engineering/ Planning/ Economics/ Traffic Engineering or equivalent.
• Manager (Transport Economist) (RG/04/26): Full time bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (4 Years) / B. Arch (5 Years) / B. Planning (4 Years) AND Master’s degree in economics / Statistics / Management (Finance) / Transport Engineering/ Planning/ Economics/ Traffic Engineering or equivalent.

Marks Criteria: UR/EWS candidates require a first-class degree/minimum 60% marks. Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) candidates require at least 50% marks.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Cut-off Date: 16 March 2026

Age Relaxations:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years
• J&K Domicile: 5 years
• PwBD: 10 years (in addition to SC/ST/OBC relaxation)
• RITES Employees: 5 years relaxation over and above upper age limit.

Experience Requirements

• Joint General Manager: 13 years of experience in Tunnel Construction supervision and Management. Must have worked 2 years in IDA pay scale of Rs. 70,000-2,00,000 (or equivalent) OR minimum CTC of 28.46 LPA (Private Sector).
• DGM: 11 years of experience in Traffic & Transport studies/consultancy. Must have worked 2 years in IDA pay scale of Rs. 60,000-1,80,000 (or equivalent) OR minimum CTC of 23.71 LPA.
• Manager: 5 years of experience in Traffic & Transport studies/consultancy. Must have worked 2 years in IDA pay scale of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000 (or equivalent) OR minimum CTC of 16.01 LPA.

Note: Training/internship/teaching/PhD research experience is not counted.

Examination Structure & Selection

Selection Stages

• For Joint General Manager & DGM (RG/02/26 & RG/03/26): Document Scrutiny → Interview.
• For Manager (RG/04/26): Written Test → Document Scrutiny → Interview.

• Duration: 2.5 Hours (3 hours for PwBD)
• Questions: 125 Questions (1 mark each)

• Qualifying Marks: 50% for UR/EWS (45% for Reserved Categories)

Interview
