Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Assistant Professor Grade-II
- Essential: Educational qualifications, experience, credit points, and other terms and conditions shall be as per Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statute, published in the Gazette of India on 24th July 2017 and 12th June 2023 and as updated from time to time by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Specialization: Minimum educational qualifications and desirable areas of specialization are given in Annexure II (available on the institute website). Scrutiny of applications will be strictly based on the minimum essential qualifications with areas of specialization of PhD degree.
- Category: Candidates applying under OBC (NCL)/EWS category must produce a valid certificate issued on or after 1st April 2025.
- Experience: Refer to Schedule 'E' of the NIT Statutes for specific experience requirements.
Salary
Assistant Professor Grade-II positions are in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
