Educational Qualification: Any Masters Degree, M.Phil/Ph.D

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for appointment to the post of Director in the School of Planning & Architecture (SPA) at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, in the pay scale of Rs. 2,10,000/- plus Special Allowance of Rs. 11,250/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules of the School. The appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of five years. The Director will be governed by the SPA Act. 2014, SPA Statutes. 2016 and any instructions issued from time to time by the Central Government.

1. Position: Director

2. Salary: Rs. 2,10,000/- plus Special Allowance of Rs. 11,250/- plus other allowances as admissible

3. Educational Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent qualification in the the appropriate branch of Architecture/Planning; and Ph. D degree in an appropriate branch of Architecture/Planning OR Published works in referred journals equivalent to Ph. D. In addition to (i), (ii) the candidate should be an eminent person in the field.

4. Experience: 15 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Professor or above in Architecture/Planning. He/She should be an eminent person in the field.

5. Desirable: Administrative experience in a responsible position.

6. Qualification & Experience for candidates from Industry & Profession:

a) Candidates from Industry/ Profession with first class Bachelor's /Master's degree in the appropriate branch of Architecture/Planning AND

b) Professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph. D. degree and with 15 years experience of which atleast 5 years should be at a Senior Level comparable to that of a Professor would also be eligible. OR

c) Officers under the Central Govt State Govt Union Territory Administrations or Public Enterprises holding a post equivalent to Joint Secretary to the Government of India on regular basis with 5 years experience in managing technical education system. OR

d) Officers of Universities Research Institute of academic organizations not below the rank of Registrar of Central Universities or equivalent with at least 10 years regular service in the grade of Rs.16400-22400(pre-revised)| Revised: PB-4, Rs. 37400-67000 + Rs.10000 AGP].
