Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Assistant Professor of Law:
• Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever applicable) in the concerned / relevant / allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or a similar test accredited by the UGC such as SLET/SET, OR been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
• Alternatively, a Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 in World University Rankings by QS, Times Higher Education, or ARWU.

Application Fee Details

The application fee must be deposited online via RTGS/NEFT in favour of Sikkim National Law University, Account No. 44472530012, State Bank of India, IFSC Code SBIN0007950. The payment receipt must be attached as an annexure to the application. The fee is non-refundable; applications without proof of fee payment will be rejected.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

The selection process consists of two stages:

1. Short-listing of Applications: All received applications will be screened based on eligibility, qualifications, and supporting documents.
2. Interview: Only short-listed candidates will be called for a personal interview. The interview date will be communicated to eligible candidates via email. Candidates must produce all original documents for verification at the time of the interview.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
