South East Central Railway (SECR) Sports Quota Recruitment 2025-26

South East Central Railway (Headquarter, Bilaspur) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2025-26. A total of 22 posts (Group 'C' and Group 'D') are available. Candidates must appear for physical trials to be considered for selection.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

1. Archery (Pay Level 5/4 & Level 1)

• Educational: Minimum Graduation for Level 5/4; 10th Pass / ITI / NAC for Level 1.
• Sports Norms:
  • Level 5/4: Represented the country in Olympics (Senior Category) OR at least 3rd position in Category-B championships.
  • Level 1: Represented a State or equivalent Unit (except Marathon/Cross Country) with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships.

2. Athletics (High Jump, 3000 Mtr Steeple Chase, 20 KM Race Walk - Pay Level 5/4)

• Educational: Minimum Graduation.
• Sports Norms: Represented the country in Olympics (Senior) OR at least 3rd position in Category-B championships (e.g., Asian Games).
• Note: For Athletics (Grade Pay 1900), medal in National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships may be considered.

3. Weightlifting (Pay Levels 5/4, 3/2, 1)

• Educational: Graduation for Level 5/4; 12th Pass for Level 3/2; 10th Pass/ITI for Level 1.
• Sports Norms:
  • Level 5/4: Represented country in Olympics/Category-B events.
  • Level 3/2: Represented country in Category-C events OR 3rd position in Federation Cup.
  • Level 1: Represented State with 8th position in Senior Nationals.
• Note: Old weight category certificates (before 01/06/2025) will be mapped to new categories (e.g., 49kg-55kg maps to 48kg new category).

4. Badminton (Pay Levels 5/4, 3/2, 1)

• Educational: Graduation for Level 5/4; 12th Pass for Level 3/2; 10th Pass/ITI for Level 1.
• Sports Norms:
  • Level 5/4: Current Annual All India Ranking (Seniors: Upto 20th Position) OR Represented country in Category-B events.
  • Level 3/2: Current Annual All India Ranking (Seniors: Upto 50th Position) OR 3rd position in Federation Cup.
  • Level 1: Represented State with 8th position in Senior Nationals.

5. Boxing (Pay Levels 5/4, 3/2, 1)

• Educational: Graduation for Level 5/4; 12th Pass for Level 3/2; 10th Pass/ITI for Level 1.
• Sports Norms: Standard norms apply based on Category A/B/C events. Youth category achievements (on/after 25/09/2016) are considered in place of Junior category.

6. Lawn Tennis (Pay Level 3/2)

• Educational: 12th Pass or Equivalent.
• Sports Norms: Current Annual All India Ranking (Seniors: Upto 30th Position) OR Medal in National Inter State Sr. Championships.

General Eligibility Notes

• Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as of 01/07/2026 (Born between 02/07/2001 and 01/07/2008). No age relaxation.
• Selection Process: Candidates must pass Sports Trials (FIT: 25+ marks out of 40). Final merit based on Trials + Sports Achievements + Educational Qualification.
• Fee: Rs. 500 (Refundable Rs. 400 for those appearing in trials). Rs. 250 for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Female/Minorities/EBC (Refundable Rs. 250).
