Number of Vacancy: 8 Posts

Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech

CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre, Chennai a National Laboratory under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research engaged in Research & Development in the area of Structural Engineering, desires to engage talented candidates as

i. Project Assistant and Project Associates-I & II under the MLP Projects (i.e. MLP 206, MLP 207, MLP 209, MLP 212 & MLP 215) tenable at CSIR-SERC as per qualification, age, experience etc, detailed below, purely on temporary basis only, maximum for the duration of the Projects:

1. Post Name: Project Associate-II

2. No of Post: 01 Position

3. Qualification: 

(i) B.E / B. Tech (Civil Engineering) from University / Institute or equivalent; and

(ii) 2 years of experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organisations and scientific activities and services.

4. Desirable: M.E / M.Tech/ M.S. (Civil / Structural recognized from Engineering) University / Institute or equivalent with First Class in Graduate degree and GATE Score

5. Job Description: in having experience Candidate investigation on steel experimental numerical components, structures analysts design of steel structures etc.

6. Salary: 

(i) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR

(b) A Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR

(ii) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

2. No of Post: 04 Position

3. Qualification: 

(i) B.E / B. Tech (Civil Engineering) from University / Institute or equivalent; and

(ii) 2 years of experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organisations and scientific activities and services.

4. Desirable: M.E / M.Tech/ M.S. (Civil / Structural recognized from Engineering) University / Institute or equivalent with First Class in Graduate degree and GATE Score

5. Job Description: Familiarity software ABAQUS, 2000. Familiarity languages with structural analysis like ANSYS, STAAD, OpenSEES. ETAB, SAP with programming like MATLAB experimental techniques. Experience in design of steel structures / offshore structures based on existing codes. Experimental techniques structural engineering for and earthquake engineering.

6. Salary: 

(i) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR

(b) A Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR

(ii) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

2. No of Post: 02 Position

3. Qualification: 

(i) B.E / B. Tech (Civil Engineering) from University / Institute or equivalent; and

(ii) 2 years of experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or S&T Organisations and scientific activities and services.

4. Desirable: M.E / M.Tech/ M.S. (Civil / Structural recognized from Engineering) University / Institute or equivalent with First Class in Graduate degree and GATE Score

5. Job Description: Familiarity with structural analysis software like ABAQUS / STAAD & like languages programming MATLAB. Knowledge in concrete technology and NDT Assessment.

6. Salary: 

(i) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR

(b) A Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR

(ii) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
