Number of Vacancy: 4 Posts

Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E

CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre, Chennai a National Laboratory under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research engaged in Research & Development in the area of Structural Engineering, desires to engage talented candidates as

i. Project Assistant and Project Associates-I & II under the MLP Projects (i.e. MLP 206, MLP 207, MLP 209, MLP 212 & MLP 215) tenable at CSIR-SERC as per qualification, age, experience etc, detailed below, purely on temporary basis only, maximum for the duration of the Projects:

1. Post Name: Project Associates-I

2. No of Post: 01 Position

3. Qualification: B.E / B. Tech (Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Instrumentation Engg. / Instrumentation Engg.) from recognized University / Institute or equivalent.

4. Desirable: B.E / B. Tech (Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Instrumentation Engg. / Instrumentation Engg) with First Class from recognized University / Institute or equivalent and Valid GATE Score

5. Job Description:

Candidate having knowledge in handling PID integrated heating systems with feedback control for regulation and control. Work experience in Research and and Industrial Development, Academic Institution is desirable.

6. Salary: 

(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR

(b) A Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR

(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

3. Qualification: B.E / B. Tech (Civil Engineering) from recognized University / Institute or its equivalent.

4. Desirable: (i) B.E / B. Tech (Civil Engineering) with First Class from recognized University / Institute or equivalent and (ii) valid GATE Score

5. Job Description:

Candidate having knowledge in CAD Software (like AUTOCAD), experimental techniques, data Processing. Candidate having knowledge in general purpose software programs like STAADPro, SAP2000. Experience in design of steel structures based on existing codes. Work experience in Research and Development, Industrial and Academic Institutions is desirable.

6. Salary: 

(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR

(b) A Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR

(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

5. Job Description: Knowledge of experimental tests data processing and analysis. Knowledge of Finite Element based analysis software packages e g. ANSYS / ABAQUS / NASTRAN

6. Salary: 

(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through

(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR

(b) A Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. OR

(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above
