Institute of Fisheries Post Graduate Studies (TNJFU) Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2022

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) purely on temporary basis for the project entitled "Investigation on molecular crosstalk of inflammatory hub NFKB and NICD using zebrafish model" under DST - SERB to be operated at TNJFU-IFPGS, Chennai.

3. Qualification:

Post graduate in Basic Sciences OR graduate/ Post graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process escribed through any one of the following:

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests — UGC Net including lectureship (Assistant CSIR professorship) and GATE.

b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD. ICAR. ICMR, IIT, 11Sc, IISER etc.,

4. Tenure: Two year Or Co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier

5. Desirable:

Candidate with strong knowledge on molecular pathways, hands-on experience on Western blot qPCR techniques, bioassays, cell culture and handling zebrafish embryo — larvae will be preferred. Relevant research publications with good impact factor will be given preference. Necessary computer knowledge for recording and analyzing scientific research data, statistical analysis such as MS Excel, etc. is required.

6. Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- per month + 8% HRA

7. Place of posting: TNJFU - Institute of Fisheries Post Graduate Studies, Chennai or at projectsite as per necessities.
