VT Manager, Skill Lab Facilitator

Educational Qualification: B.Sc, Diploma, Any Masters Degree, B.Voc

Applications are invited for the following position in the project Rekkalu for a period of 6 months, subject to extension based on the performance of the candidate

1. Title: VT Manager

2. Location: Hyderabad (Travel to Warangal and Nizamabad may be involved as required)

3. Period of Engagement: 1 st March to 31st July 2022 (Extendable by one year)

4. Qualification and Skills:

a) Masters’ degree with 2 years of prior experience in the field of livelihoods, entrepreneurship and skill building with youth. Language proficiency in English and Hindi is required. Knowledge of Telugu is preferable. The candidate should possess basic technical skills like use of MS office, communication through email and video conferencing.

b) Knowledge of additional software and relevant tech enabled platforms will be an asset. The candidate must possess skills in effective communication, planning, organizing and coordination, time management, problem solving approach, data management and report writing.

c) The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, leadership, ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and maintain a professional attitude when responding to challenges.

5. Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Establishing contact and building partnerships with external organisations to implement the programme plan of creating VT opportunities for adolescents. Setting up in-house VT programmes within the CCIs. Regular coordination with stakeholders involved in the implementation of VT programme, like, instructors, partner organizations, CCI administration, JWCS department etc.

b) Maintaining complete data of adolescents enrolled in different programmes. Regular update of data to track the students’ progress and further needs. Operationalisation of production unit attached with the in-house training unit. Setting up a system for marketing of products from the production unit.

c) Setting up of Skill Lab for children between 12-15 years of age. Building partnerships with external organisations to facilitate internships and job placement opportunities for the students enrolled in the programme.

6. Salary: The candidate will be paid a consolidated salary of Rs. 33,000/- per month.

4. Qualification and Skills: B.Voc degree/Polytechnic Diploma/B.Sc degree with inclination and interest in vocational trades. Bachelor’s degree in disciplines other than those mentioned above will be considered if the candidate has relevant experience in imparting vocational skills to young adults. Basic proficiency in knowledge of STEM subjects is required. The candidate should have prior experience of working with children, teaching or imparting skills. Language proficiency in Telugu and Hindi is required

5. Duties and Responsibilities: Establishing a skill lab with opportunity to learn basics of diverse trades for children between the age 12-15 years. Networking and building partnerships with organisations, individuals and educational institutions for providing children with relevant learning opportunities. Imparting basic literacy and numeracy skills as part of Skill Lab readiness programme. Mapping children’s interest areas and aptitude to provide appropriate career guidance. Maintaining data of students’ progress in the classroom.

6. Salary: The candidate will be paid a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000/- per month.
