Applications are invited for an Online-Interview for one (01) temporary position of Project Associate (PA) in a DBT sponsored research project entitled “Exploiting chemical ecology for IPM: Deciphering the phyto-semiochemicals involved in Insect-Plant interactions of major crop pests of North East Region-India” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Suvendra Kumar Ray, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, Tezpur, Napaam - 784028, Assam.

3. Essential Qualification: Candidate must have M.Sc. (Degree awarded) in any stream of Life Sciences or Agricultural Sciences with NET/GATE
4. Desirable Qualification: Candidates with experience in Entomology, Microbiology and Molecular Genetics will be preferred.
5. Fellowship: 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month.
6. Duration: Initially for a period of six (06) months, which may be extended up to one (01) year of till completion of the project depending upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent or until further order, whichever is earlier.
7. Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
8. Appointment of project staff is purely temporary, and award of fellowship does not confer any right for absorption/employment in Tezpur University.

Selection Procedure
1. Only shortlisted candidate(s) will be called for personal Interview via email, on a later date. Shortlisted candidate(s) may appear before the Interview Board via online with all the original documents. Original documents of the candidate(s) will be verified by the Selection Committee.
2. The decision of the Selection Committee/Tezpur University authority would be final and binding in all aspects.
