Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

1. Post Name: Scientist E

2. No of Post: 01

3. Monthly consolidated emoluments: Rs. 1,92,000/-

4. Minimal Qualifications and Experience: Ph.D. in Life Sciences/ Veterinary Science/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or relevant branch from a recognized University with seven years of relevant research experience after Ph.D. Expertise in animal virology, animal models and cell culture, molecular and serological assays for vaccine development is essential. Indepth knowledge of GLP, GMP and regulatory requirements for vaccine licensure is necessary. Candidates with experience in biotech industry and business development will be preferred

5. Job description/ responsibilities : 

a) To coordinate between the core facilities of THSTI (Bioassay Lab, BSL-3, Biorepository) and industry for execution of research projects and services

b) To be actively involved in the scientific activities of the concerned facilities and; new assays & techniques.

c) To monitor and manage the administrative, regulatory and business aspects of these core facilities of THSTI.

d) To manage the accreditation status of the facilities and explore collaborative and business opportunities

e) To track progress, project management, grant deadlines, submission of reports and financial documents, fund and inventory management

f) The incumbent should be familiar with GLP and GMP and accreditation processes, SOPs and biosafety guidelines and should be able to train students and employees of these facilities

g) Conducting workshops (annual/six months).

3. Monthly consolidated emoluments: Rs. 91,000/-

4. Minimal Qualifications and Experience: PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with six years of postqualification experience in a GLP/NABL-accredited biomedical laboratory or in a national/international research institute PG degree in Life Sciences with seven years of post-qualification experience in a GLP/NABL-accredited biomedical research laboratory or in a national/international research institute

5. Job description/ responsibilities : Will deal with assays for vaccine development and licensure in a GLP setting compliant with Quality Management systems (ISO 17025:2017). Will be responsible for laboratory management, accreditation processes, standard laboratory safety and procedures in the bioassay laboratory. To train other laboratory staff members, learn new technical skills, perform established assays. Will contribute to developing and validating new assays.

6 . Essential experience: Animal cell culture, virus isolation, virus neutralization and serological assays. Desirable: Knowledge of assay establishment, validation for accreditation and for regulatory clearance of vaccines and diagnostics.

4. Minimal Qualifications and Experience: Graduate in any discipline or equivalent for a recognized University with a minimum six years’ of postqualification relevant work experience in the field of Public Procurement. OR Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Management or equivalent from a recognized University with minimum four years’ of post-qualification relevant work experience in the field of Public Procurement. The experience should preferably be in Govt. / PSU / CAB / Corporate office of large Public Limited Company.

5. Desirable: Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Material Management from a recognized University

6. Job description/ responsibilities : 

a) Public procurement through GeM

b) Inventory management

c) Processing Govt. procurement starting from procurement planning to issuance of purchase/work order until entry in the concerned stock registers.

d) Handling AMC and rate contracts.

e) General Administrative work.
