Online applications are invited from bonafide citizens of India for selection of candidates for recruitment to 01 vacant post of Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training, Group-A (Gazetted), in the Education (School) Department, Government of Tripura in the scale of Pay Band of Rs. 37,400-67,000/ with grade pay of Rs. 8,700/- in level-20 of pay matrix, 2018 subject to revision by the Government from time to time.

Master Degree in Arts/Humanities/Science/Commerce with 55% marks i) relaxable by 5% for ST/SC candidates. and B.Ed/M.Ed with a minimum of 55% marks relaxable by 5% marks for ST/SC candidate. and Ph.D in respective subject /Education /Child psychology /pedagogy /Teachers training.
5. Experience:
a. At least 10 (Ten) years of experience as senior lecturer or equivalent with current minimum grade pay of Rs.7,600/- in Administrative responsibility of Teacher Training Institution for School Education run by Central/State Government or KVS/NVS or Private Teacher Training Institution having NAAC A+ accreditation.
b. or At least 10 (Ten) years of experience in NCERT/ NIEPA/ STATE SCERT/ CBSE/ICSE with minimum current minimum grade pay of Rs. 7,600/- and working in teacher training pedagogy
c. Or At least 10 (Ten) years of experience in administrative position having experiences in state wide reforms in Pedagogy/ Teacher Training with current minimum grade pay of Rs. 7,600/- in School Education of MoE/ any of the State Government.

1. Total marks allotted for Selection process; 100 marks (85% weightage from API score & 15% marks for interview).
2. The Selection process will comprise of 02 (two) successive stages viz-i) Short listing of candidates (for Interview/Personality test) at ratio 1:5 ratio (five candidates against one vacancy) on the basis of API score Interview/Personality test.
3. It is also mentioned here that candidate(s) scoring API marks equal to that of the last qualified candidate shall also be called for interview.
4. The final selection will be made in order of merit on the basis of the 85% marks obtained by a candidate as Annexure-B' of the Selection Process of Director, SCERT and by adding the marks obtained in the Interview process (out of 15).
5. If a candidate remains absent in the interview process, his/her candidature will not be considered for final merit list In the list of recommendation, merit position of candidates securing equal marks will be finalized as per their seniority of age.
6. The same procedure is to be followed for preparing waiting list, if there be any.
(a) Candidates will have to submit application through Online Application Portal only. The Commission will not entertain any hard copy application. Before submission of online application, read carefully the instruction to candidates.
(b) Online Application Portal will be available on Commission's website from 24.05.2022 to 23.06.2022 (5.30 PM). Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her bio- data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission's Website viz. tpsc.tripura.gov.in.
i. Once applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his/her registered mobile number and email ID. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through the Commission's website.
(c) Applicants should avoid submitting multiple applications. However, if due to any unavoidable circumstances, any applicant submits multiple applications then he/she must ensure that the application with latest Receipt Number is complete in all respect.
(d) In case of multiple applications, the application with latest Receipt Number shall only be. entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one Receive Number shall not be adjusted against any other Receipt Number.
(a) Candidates are required to submit self attested copy of certificates in support of their claims regarding Age, Educational Qualifications (all mark sheets and certificates) Permanent Resident Certificate/Citizenship Certificate, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Experience Certificates, along with API score sheetand others, if mentioned in the application in the receipt section addressed to the Secretary, TPSC, Agartala, PIN- 799001
(e) Submission of such documents will be allowed up to 04.07.2022 (5.30 PM) along with printed copy of Online Application failing which candidature will be treated as cancelled. The Commission will not entertain any application thereafter.
(f) The last date of submission of online application is 23.06.2022 (upto 5.30 PM). The application (s) received after the closing date will not be entertained.

The provision for constitution of Public Service Commission was first incorporated under Article 96C of the Government of India Act,1919. Thereafter in 1923 ‘Lee Commission’ was constituted for the purpose of formulating the principles/terms and conditions of Public Service Commission. Subsequently, as per recommendations of the ‘Lee Commission’ Federal Public Service Commission was established in India for the first time, on 1st October, 1926. Lee Commission also recommended for establishment of Provincial Public Service Commission its statehood on 21st January,1972 and Tripura Public Service Commission was established on 30th October, 1972, under the provisions of Article 315 of the Constitution of India. Sri G.P.Bagchi was the first Chairman and Sri I. K. Roy was the first Member of the Tripura Public Service Commission.
