Position: Director, 2. No of Post: 03 3. Pay matrix level: Pay matrix level- 13 4. Location: UIDAI HQs, New Delhi 5. Eligibility criteria: Officers from the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR With three years of regular service in the Pay Matrix Level 12 or above. OR Officers from State UT Government/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organization holding regular post in corresponding grades with requisite experience. 6. Desirable Experience: Experience in monitoring and implementation of large scale project(s) having multiple ecosystem partners. Experience in handling of matters relating to Budget, Contract management, Co ordination, Administration, Procurement of goods and services etec. Experience in e-Governance and ICT related projects. 1. Position: Director (Technology) 2. No of Post: 01 3. Pay matrix level: Pay matrix level-13 4. Location: UIDAI HQs, New Delhi 5. Eligibility criteria: Officers from the Central Government holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR With three years of regular service in the Pay Matrix Level 12 or above. OR Officers from State/ UT Government/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organization holding regular post in corresponding grades with requisite experience. Four year degree in Engineering or Technology or Master Degree in Computer Application from an Institute recognised by Govt. agencies. 6. Desirable Experience: i. Handling ICT/E-governance Projects in Central Government/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous body etc. Handling IT/Telecom/Networking/Data Centre operations related works Dealing IT procurements/IT inventory management related work. Dealing with planning, execution, O&M nature of works in Technical projects in the field of IT, Software, Telecom etc. ii. OR Officers from State/UT Government/ Public Sector Undertaking/ Autonomous Organization holding regular post in corresponding grades with requisite experience. Four year degree in Engineering or Technology or Master Degree in Computer Application from an Institute recognized by Govt. agencies. 6. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is a statutory authority established under the provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (“Aadhaar Act 2016”) on 12 July 2016 by the Government of India, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The Aadhaar Act 2016 has been amended by the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Act, 2019 (14 of 2019) w.e.f. 25.07.2019.
UIDAI was created to issue Unique Identification numbers (UID), named as "Aadhaar", to all residents of India. The UID had to be (a) robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities, and (b) verifiable and authenticable in an easy, cost-effective way. As on 31 March 21, the Authority has issued 128.99 crore Aadhaar numbers to the residents of India.
Under the Aadhaar Act 2016, UIDAI is responsible for Aadhaar enrolment and authentication, including operation and management of all stages of Aadhaar life cycle, developing the policy, procedure, and system for issuing Aadhaar numbers to individuals and perform authentication and the security of identity information and authentication records of individuals.
