Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) Jhansi established in the year 1973 in the name of Regional Research Centre (Ayurveda) under Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH. RARI is engaged in the research with the focus to conduct medicio-botanical exploration in parts of Central India, Collect and supply genuine raw drug materials for R&D work, To build up repositories for medicinal plants and crude drugs, To established herbal garden and carrying out cultivation of medicinal plants for Ayurveda. The Institute has developed a good herbarium.
The Institute has also developed a crude drugs repository where 700 genuine and market samples of crude drugs used in Indian system of medicine are preserved.

W. & A., Uraria picta Desv., Comophora mukul (Gugulu).
