The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission Act, 2023 was notified on August 21, 2023, through U.P. Act No. 15 of 2023. In accordance with Section 27 of this Act, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission Rules, 2023 were published by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Higher Education Department-5 via Notification No. 3118/Seventy-5-2023-25-2019-T.C.-18 dated December 13, 2023.
Thus, under the newly constituted Commission, online requisitions (adhiyachans) will be received for the selection of: Principals/Headmasters/Head Teachers of the aforementioned departments, Assistant Professors in colleges, Lecturers (PGTs) in Intermediate Colleges and Atal Residential Schools, Assistant Teachers in High Schools, Junior High Schools, affiliated Primary Schools, Atal Residential Schools, and Instructors in Government ITIs.
Furthermore, through Government Order No. 980/Seventy-5-2024-12/2024 dated August 8, 2024, issued by the Higher Education Department-5, the U.P. Higher Education Service Commission, Prayagraj and the U.P. Secondary Education Service Selection Board, Prayagraj have been dissolved. Both these commissions have now been merged into the newly formed Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj, thereby bringing the new commission into existence.
