Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) Invites Application for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2021

Applications are hereby invited for walk-in- interview on engagement of Junior Research Fellow 01 No. for Terai Zone, Pundibari on purely Temporary basis under the Department of Science and Technology and Bio-technology, Govt of India funded project entitled "Development of a novel pesticide formulation from a new turmeric variety in Terai region of West Bengal" located at Pundibari in the district of Cooch Behar under the aegis of Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya. Persons will be recruited to serve under the guidance of Dr. Prithusayak Mondal, Principal Investigator &Assistant Professor, RRS, TZ, UBKV, Pundibari, Cooch Behar. The details of the position under this project are given below:

2. No. of Post: 01

3. Location: Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyala ya, Pundibari, Cooch Behar

4. Remuneration: of Rs. month HRA 16000/- +15% + Medical allowance Rs. 300.00/- P.m.

5. Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Soil Science/Agricultural Chemistry /Agricultural Chemicals/ Bio-chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany or any discipline of Agricultural and Life Science streams with research experience in plants.

6. Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of computer (MS-Word, Excel, and Power Point etc.) Research work in relevant field.

7. Preference will be given to higher qualification/experience Mere possession of minimum qualification shall not make a candidate selected to the posts. The selection committee's decision will be final when binding in all respects. The Viswavidyalaya reserves the right to select anybody as recommended by the selection committee.

8. Nationality/Age: Indian nationals with the following age limits are eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure

1. Applicants have to appear in person before a selection committee for a walk-in-interview at the chamber of The Director of Research, Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Cooch Behar.

2. Preference will be given to those candidates whose research interest and work experience has relevance to the mandate of the Project. The selected candidate will be offered Fellowship/ remuneration as furnished above.

3. The above positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of the project. No TA/DA will be admissible to any candidate for attending the interview. Candidate should not have any type of conviction in the court anywhere in India.
