The Electricity Service Commission, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), has announced a prestigious opportunity for experienced professionals. UPPCL is inviting applications from Indian Nationals for the recruitment of Company Secretary (Fixed Term Basis) on a tenure of 3 to 5 years.

This is a Direct Recruitment process based on academic qualifications, professional experience, and an interview. It is a high-responsibility role designated as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) under the Companies Act-2013. The selected candidate will be based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

4. Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification

• Essential: Must be a Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
• Must hold a Degree in Law from a recognized University.
• Advantageous: Candidates with a Cost Accountant qualification (CMA) in addition to the above will have an advantage.

B. Experience

• Minimum 10 years of independent work experience as a Company Secretary in a listed company.
• Experience as a firm's proprietor/partner will not be considered.
• Candidates must possess the requisite qualifications and experience on or before the closing date of application.

C. Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 35 Years
• Maximum Age: 55 Years
• Cut-off Date: Age is calculated as of 01 July 2025.
• Inclusive of all relaxations (if any). No separate reservation is applicable.

D. Other Mandatory Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
• Marital Status: Candidates having more than one living spouse are NOT eligible.
• Undertaking: The incumbent cannot engage in private practice or any other business activity.

5. Selection Process (Interview Based)

Recruitment Type: Direct Recruitment (No Written Exam).

The selection will be based on the following stages:

1. Screening: Based on Academic and Professional Qualification + Experience.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
3. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the time of the interview.

8. Tenure, Bond & Service Conditions

• Tenure: Initial probation of 6 months, followed by a total tenure of 3 years (includes probation). Can be extended yearly up to a maximum of 5 years.
• Bond: A bond of Rs. 3,00,000/- must be signed.
• Notice Period: 3 months prior notice for resignation; 1 month notice from the Corporation for termination.
• Leave: 8 Days Casual Leave + 30 Days Earned Leave (Max accumulation 30 days).
• Accommodation: May be allotted in UPPCL staff quarters (subject to availability).
• Benefits: Provident Fund, Medical facilities for family, and Conveyance facilities similar to regular employees.
