Recruitment Overview

King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, has released a notification for the Short Term Recruitment of Senior Resident (Un-registered) and Non PG Junior Resident posts. This recruitment is for the Gandhi Memorial & Associated Hospitals under the Office of the Medical Superintendent.

Candidates are invited to participate in a Walk-in-Interview scheduled for 9th March 2026. This is a direct recruitment process based on the interview performance, without any written competitive examination.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Senior Resident (Un-registered)

• Qualification: Candidates must have passed M.D./M.S./DNB (for Senior Resident) recognized by MCI/NMC.
• Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 45 years (as per NMC rules).

2. Non PG Junior Resident

• Qualification: Candidates must have passed MBBS (including completion of Internship) or equivalent degree recognized by MCI.
• Experience/Condition: Candidates can apply only up to 5 years from their internship completion dates.
• Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years as reckoned on the date of Interview (9th March 2026).
• Age Relaxation: A maximum of 5 years relaxation may be given to:
  • SC/ST/OBC candidates having domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Widowed/Divorced/Legally separated women (not remarried).
  • Disabled/Handicapped persons (as per Govt. rules).

Mandatory Requirements & Reservation

• Domicile: Reservation applies as per UP Govt. rules. Only candidates with UP domicile are eligible for reservation benefits. Reserved category candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved.
• Registration: State Medical Registration is mandatory before joining (if selected).
• Service Limit: Maximum service allowed is 36 months total (max 18 months in one department).
• Documents: Candidates must bring one set of Xerox copies of all relevant certificates and originals for verification at the time of interview.

Selection Process

This recruitment is through a Walk-in-Interview. There is no written examination.

1. Document Verification: Verification of original certificates at the venue.
2. Interview: Assessment by the selection committee.
3. Final Selection: Based on interview performance and eligibility.

2. Fill Details: Fill out the form carefully with accurate details.
3. Attach Documents: Attach self-certified copies of all relevant documents (Degree, Internship Certificate, Caste Certificate, Domicile, etc.).
4. Pay Fee: Deposit the application fee (Rs. 3000/2000) in the specified Indian Bank account.
5. Submission: Submit the duly filled application form along with fee receipt and documents by 5th March 2026 to:
