For the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow in the DST-SERB, Govt. of India sponsored project entitled ‘Subseasonal to seasonal forecast of agricultural drought and estimation of crop yield reduction using Machine Learning Approaches’ sanctioned in the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS, Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal-721102.

3. Essential Qualification:

Post Graduate degree (M.Sc./M.Tech./MS) in Remote Sensing and GIS/ Geoinformatics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average. Or M.Sc. in Geography/ Environmental Science with Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS and having minimum 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average NET/GATE or equivalent qualification

4. Desirable skills: Knowledge in programming, climate models, machine learning algorithms

5. Fellowship Amount: As per DST-SERB norms

6. Tenure: Initially for six months, extendable till the end of the project based on satisfactory performance of the candidate Screening of the candidates of non-NET subjects shall be conducted as per DST-SERB rule
