  • Graduate Apprentice (Engineering): Degree in relevant engineering discipline with not less than 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA.
  • Graduate Apprentice (Hotel Management): First Class Degree (not less than 60% marks) in Hotel Management/Catering Technology.
  • Graduate Apprentice (General Stream): Bachelor's degree (three-year duration) with not less than 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA.
  • Technician Apprentice (Engineering Diploma): First Class Diploma in Engineering (three-year duration) from a State Board of Technical Education.
  • Technician Apprentice (Commercial Practice): Diploma in Commercial Practice (three-year duration) with not less than 6.32 CGPA.

Experience:Not required. Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or have one year or more of institutional experience are not eligible.

  • Graduate Apprentice (UR): 28 years
  • Technician Apprentice (Engg. Diploma - UR): 30 years
  • Technician Apprentice (Commercial Practice - UR): 26 years

  • Graduate Apprentice: ₹12,300 per month
  • Technician Apprentice: ₹10,900 per month

Selection Procedure: Walk-in Selection Drive. Candidates are ranked on merit based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination after document verification. Induction depends on the candidate's position in the merit panel and vacancy availability.

How to Attend the Walk-in Selection Drive

There is no online application. Candidates must attend the walk-in selection drive in person. Applications will not be accepted through any other means (postal, email, or online).

Important: Priority is given to candidates from the Southern Region (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry). Candidates who completed their degree/diploma before April 2022 or are awaiting final year results are not eligible.

Key Instructions for Candidates

  • CGPA Conversion: Conversion of CGPA to percentage is not permitted for eligibility. At least one criterion (CGPA or percentage as printed on the certificate) must independently meet the norm.
  • Five-Year Window: Candidates who have completed five years from the month/year of passing as specified in the Degree/Diploma certificate are not eligible.
  • Prior Apprenticeship/Experience: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training, or who have one year or more of experience at any institution, are not eligible.
  • NATS Registration: Selected candidates must register under a contract on the NATS 2.0 portal (www.nats.education.gov.in) immediately after induction.
  • No Permanent Employment: Completion of the apprenticeship training does not confer any right to permanent employment at VSSC or any ISRO/Department of Space unit.
  • Accommodation: Candidates must arrange their own accommodation during the training period.
