Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the following research project funded by SERB, Government of India, under the supervision of Dr. Md. Motin Seikh, Department of Chemistry, Siksha Bhavana, Visva-Bharati (Central University), Santiniketan-731235, WB, INDIA 1. Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2. Vacancy: 01 Post 3. Title of the Project: Development of High Entropy Stabilized Functional Oxides: Synthesis, Characterization, Magnetic Properties and Supercapacitor Application 4. Duration: 03 Years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. 5. Qualification Essential: Candidate should be M.Sc. in Chemistry with at least 55% marks (or a CGPA of 5.5 in 10 point in scale) and CSIR-NET/GATE qualified 6. Fellowship: Rs. 31,000.00/- per month for JRF (initial two years) and Rs. 35,000/- per month for SRF (third year) + HRA as per University rules.

Selection Procedure

Founded by the first non-European Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Thākur(popularly known as Tagore) in 1921, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a central university and an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament in 1951. The President of India is the Paridarsaka (Visitor) of the University, the Governor of West Bengal is the Pradhana (Rector), and the Prime Minister of India acts as the Acharya (Chancellor). The President of India appoints the Upacharya (Vice-chancellor) of the University.
In May 1951, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a Central University and "An Institution of National Importance" by an Act of Parliament. It was granted the status of a unitary, teaching, and residential university. The status and function of all the major institutions have been redefined in successive Amendments.
