Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E, M.E/M.Tech
The Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore invites applications for the posts of project associates under the DST-PURSE sponsored research grant titled “Additive Manufacturing for fostering Transdisciplinary Research”.
1. Position: Project Associate II [Senior Project Associate]
2. No of Post: 01
3. Duration – 4 Years [48 Months]
4. Salary: Rs. 35000/Month + 8% HRA [I and II year]; Rs. 42000 / Month + 8% HRA [III and IV year]
5. Qualification: M. Tech in Welding Engineering / Material Science and Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering / Production Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / CAD/CAM / Engineering Design with a minimum of 70 % marks in PG and 60% Marks in UG.
6. Desirable Qualification: Candidates who are having desirable GATE scores / and research publications with adequate knowledge in materials testing and characterization/additive manufacturing and finite element methods.
1. Position: Project Associate I [Junior Project Associate]
2. No of Post: 01
3. Duration – 4 Years [48 Months]
4. Salary: Rs. 31000/ Month +8% HRA [I and II Year]; Rs. 35000/Month + 8% HRA [III and IV Year]
5. Qualification: B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgical Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering / Production Engineering and M. Tech in Welding Engineering / Material Science and Engineering with greater than 6.5 CGPA or 70 % marks in UG and PG.
6. Desirable Qualification: Candidates with desirable GATE score / and research publications having adequate knowledge in welding processes/welding metallurgy/materials testing and characterization/additive manufacturing. Preference will be given to the candidates having journals publication.
Pay Scale:

Selection Procedure
1. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview as the case may be based on merit
2. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview.
3. The recruitment will be as per the guidelines of DST-PURSE and VIT, Vellore
4. Employed candidates will be required to submit a no-objection certificate (NoC) from his/her employer at the time of the interview.
5. Institute reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason.
