Educational Qualification: M.E/M.Tech
Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST-SERB Funded Project in School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC), (SRG/2021/000525), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow
2. Title of the Project :“Development of Carrera Unified Formulation for the large deflection and post-buckling analysis of variable angle tow composite laminate”.
3., Roles and Responsibilities:Candidate has to model the variable angle tow (VAT) composite plate using Carrera Unified Formulation. An in- house MATLAB code has to be developed to perform the 3D stress analysis on VAT plates under large deformation.
4. Qualification :M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with the specialization in Design with CSIR - NET/GATE qualification.
5. Requirement :Candidates should have adequate knowledge in finite element methods, mechanics of composite and their mathematical modeling. The candidate should also have prior experience in MATLAB coding.
6. Desirable (if any) :Experience in technical writing is preferred.
7. Stipend :Rs. 31,000/- per month (consolidated). Salary will be provided as per the university norms for Non-NET/GATE candidate.
8. Sponsoring Agency :DST - SERB, Government of India.
9. Duration :2 years
