Eligibility Criteria

| Educational Qualification | Intermediate / 12th Class pass (for both AWT and AWH). For AWH, if Intermediate-qualified candidates are not available, SSC/10th Class candidates may be considered as per G.O.Ms.No.37. |

| Residence/Local Eligibility | Must be a resident of the division (urban) or Gram Panchayat (rural) of the concerned Anganwadi Centre. For ST-reserved Teacher posts in NC/NT areas, only candidates residing in that Gram Panchayat/habitation are eligible. |
Educational Qualification:Intermediate / 12th Class pass from a recognized board. For Anganwadi Helper posts, SSC/10th Class candidates may be considered if no Intermediate-qualified candidates are available.
Skills:Community engagement, child care, nutrition awareness, record keeping, communication in local language.
Age Limit:18 to 35 years as on 01 July 2026.

The broad mandate of the Department is to have holistic development of Women and Children. For the holistic development of the child, the Department has been implementing the world's largest and most unique and outreach programme of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) providing a package of services comprising supplementary nutrition, immunization, health check up and referral services, pre-school non-formal education. There are 35,781 Anganwadi Centers functioning in the State in 149 ICDS Projects.
