i. Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Botany/ Forestry/ Wildlife Science / Life Science/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation

ii. Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Zoology/ Wildlife Science / Life Science/ Forestry/ Environmental Science/ Biodiversity& Conservation.

iii. Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Life Science/ Forestry/ Zoology/ Environmental Science / Biodiversity & Conservation

iv. Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Zoology/ Forestry/ Wildlife Science / Life Science / Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation.

i. Master’s degree with working experience of aquatic vegetation identification and survey and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects.

ii. Master’sdegree with working experience of identification and survey of invertebrate/ entomofauna and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects

iii. Master’sdegree with working experience of identification and survey of herpetofauna and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects

iv. Master’s degree with working experience of fish identification and survey and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects.

v. Master’s degree with working experience of bird survey, identification, and enthusiasm in implementing conservation projects

vi. Master’s degree with working experience of techniques in sample collection.

vii. Master’s degree with working experience of techniques in sample collection.

6. Work Description:

i. Candidate will carry out field sampling of aquatic vegetation for biodiversity profiling of wetlands.

ii. Candidate will assist in carrying out ecological research and literature review.

iii. Candidate will assist in field sampling for biodiversity profiling, environmental parameters and report preparation.

iv. Candidate will assist in organizing and conducting training workshops.

Selection Procedure

1. The selection to all the posts will be based on personal interview, which will be conducted by a duly constituted Interview Committee.

2. All the applications received, will be screened and only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.

3. The date of the interview will be communicated to the candidates for making travel arrangements to report at WII or through Video Conferencing.

4. The selection of the candidate will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee.

5. The prescribed essential qualifications and desirable qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.

6. If the number of applications received in response to advertisement islarge,it will not be convenient or possible for the selection board to interview all those candidates who have applied

7. Hence, the Institute may shortlist the candidates to a reasonable limit based on the essential and desirable qualifications / record of academic performance / relevant experience for the post or any other benchmarks as decided by a committee constituted to screen the applications.

8. The criteria for screening of applications will be based on the candidates qualifying credentials against: 

i) The specified essential qualification,

ii) Date of birth (The upper age limit is to be calculated based on the last date for applying to this advertisement 25th January 2022), 

iii) Completeness of the application in terms of providing accurate details and submission of the passport size photograph, demand draft, and self-attested copies of the marksheets, academic and experience certificates, signature, name of referees,

iv) Experience in relevant field as suitable for the post applied for,

v) Desirable qualification and experience as specified against each position
