The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, teaching and training.The Institute plans to engage project personnel (Indian national only) and invites application over email followed by an online interview for engaging, one (01) Senior Project Associate for a project on purely contractual basis

4. Educational qualifications:
a) Essential : Master’s degree in Wildlife Science/ Ecology/Biodiversity Conservation/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences or related subjects with ≥4 years’ experience in relevant field.
b) Desirable: Previous experience of wildlife research/ biodiversity assessment and survey. Proven record of writing technical/research report, publishing scientific article in peer-reviewed journal.
5. Work Description: The work involves assessment of biodiversity in study area in Jharkhand and preparation of Integrated Wildlife Management Plan. The selected candidate will implement the objectives of the project by carrying out field research and prepare interim and final report.

1. The shortlisted candidates will be notified (through website notification) for online personal interview. The interview will be held on 04.02.2022. from 1000 hrs onwards. The selection will be made based on the online personal interview scheduled on 04.02. 2022.
2. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.

The Wildlife Institute of India is a nodal national agency for research and training in the field of wildlife conservation.
