Educational Qualification & Experience

Officers from Central/State Governments, Union Territories, PSUs or Autonomous Bodies must meet one of the following conditions :

• Option 1: Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/department OR
• Option 2: With five years of service in Level 6 (Pay Band-2 ₹9300-34800 + GP ₹4200 pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department AND possessing any of the following :
  • Pass in the Subordinate Accounts Service Examination or equivalent conducted by any organised accounts department of the Central Government OR
  • Successful completion of training in cash & accounts work at the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (or equivalent) plus three years experience in cash, accounts and budget work.

Age Limit

Maximum 56 years as on the closing date (05 September 2026).
