Research Areas: Pure Mathematics; Theoretical Physics (particularly quantum matter and information); Theoretical Computer Science (including cryptography, theoretical foundations of AI/ML, and mathematical aspects of quantum computing); Computational Biology.
Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
- Fellow – E: PhD in relevant discipline plus a minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience. Maximum age 35 years.
- Reader – F: PhD in relevant discipline plus a minimum of 5 years of postdoctoral experience. Maximum age 38 years.
Additional Notes:
- Period of prescribed experience is determined with reference to the last date for submission of applications.
- Meeting minimum eligibility criteria does not automatically imply shortlisting.
- Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct leading-edge research, mentor PhD students, teach courses in IMSc's PhD / Integrated PhD programs, and participate in administrative activities as required.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
