Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
The following eligibility conditions apply uniformly to all five Senior Resident specialties:
- MBBS with PG Degree/Diploma or any other equivalent qualification in the concerned specialty recognized by Medical Council of India.
- Non-PG Relaxation: If a PG-qualified candidate is not available, a Non-PG candidate with at least 2 years of experience in the concerned specialty in a Government or Government-emplaned hospital will be considered.
- Must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC); only qualifications incorporated in the DMC will be considered.
- Must not have completed 3 years of Senior Residency.
- Must be a citizen of India.
- Age Limit: 45 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) admissible as per Government of India rules on submission of a Handicapped Certificate from the competent authority.
For OBC reservation and age relaxation, only OBC candidates notified by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under letter/order Nos. F.19(10)/2001/S-III/Pt.File/2278-2285 dated 27/07/2007 and F.19(01)/2012/S.IV/1241-1258 dated 28/07/2016 are eligible. OBC candidates from outside Delhi are treated as Unreserved and must apply under the UR category.
Selection Process & Screening Clause
- Registration: Candidates must register through the Google Form link provided in the official notification. Upon submission, an auto-generated email with a pre-filled application form is sent to the candidate.
- Walk-in Interview: Candidates must report between 09:00 AM and 11:00 AM on 12 November 2026 at the Conference Hall, 3rd Floor. No candidate will be entertained after 11:00 AM.
- Interview: A direct walk-in interview will be conducted by the Selection Board / Medical Superintendent PMMMH. The decision of the Selection Board is final and binding; no representation will be entertained.
- Waitlist: A panel of waitlisted candidates will be prepared for filling future Senior Resident vacancies.
- Result Declaration: Results will be declared on the website of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, GNCT Delhi.
- Joining: Selected candidates must join duties within 07 days of receiving the offer of appointment after completion of medical formalities.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing at the interview.

Candidates must bring all original certificates and testimonials along with self-attested photocopies and five passport-size photographs:
- Original Matriculation (Class X) Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
- Delhi Medical Council (DMC) Registration Certificate (as applicable)
- MBBS Degree and all MBBS Mark Sheets
- MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma Certificate (for Senior Resident posts)

Important: Appointment is subject to medical fitness and verification of certificates of educational qualifications, age, caste, DMC registration, and internship completion. If any declaration or information is found false or any material fact is suppressed willfully, the candidature or appointment will be cancelled or terminated forthwith.
Terms of Appointment
- Appointment is initially for 89 days, or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.
- Extension is subject to satisfactory work conduct report and vacancy availability.
- If reserved candidates are not available, posts earmarked for them shall be filled from General/Unreserved candidates on ad hoc basis for 44 days.
- Service governed by the Residency Scheme of Government of India and Civil Services (Temporary Rules, 1978).
- Selected candidates must join within 07 days of acceptance; failure to do so results in cancellation of the offer.
