UPSC NDA Cut-Off Marks

The NDA cut-off is the minimum score required to qualify for the next stage of the selection process.

UPSC determines the cut-off based on the performance of candidates, examination difficulty, vacancies and other relevant factors.

Types of NDA Cut-Offs

Written Examination Cut-Off: Candidates must secure the prescribed minimum marks in the written examination to be shortlisted for the SSB interview.

Subject-Wise Minimum Marks: UPSC also prescribes minimum qualifying marks in individual papers. Candidates must satisfy these requirements in addition to the aggregate cut-off.

Final Merit Cut-Off: The final merit list is prepared using the combined marks of the written examination and SSB interview, subject to eligibility and medical fitness.

Factors Affecting NDA Cut-Off Marks

  • Total number of vacancies.

  • Number of candidates appearing.

  • Difficulty level of Mathematics.

  • Difficulty level of General Ability Test.

  • Overall candidate performance.

  • Minimum qualifying marks prescribed by UPSC.

Candidates should use previous-year cut-offs as a preparation reference, not as a guaranteed target for the next examination.
